INTRODUCTION:
Always be careful of any doctrine that steers you to follow any other leader other than Christ. ANY MESSAGE OUTSIDE OF CHRIST AS THE FOCUS is heretic.
DISCUSSION:
“Proof texting” is justifying any words taken out of context in scripture. Some use this to literally manipulate scriptures for their selfish gainTruth has to agree with all of scripture not at a dichotomy with any part of scripture. By the mouth of two or three witnesses a word is established. ( 2 cor13:1)
⁃ it’s not enough to be sincere as we can be sincerely wrong. You can be sincere about the wrong thing ( those 2 guys that drove a plane into the World Trade Center killing thousands sincerely believed in a heaven with breasted virgins they were willing to die for. Matt 24:34 false messiahs and prophets that can do great signs and wonders
⁃ 2 Thess 2:8 -9 NLT THE ANTICHRIST will do counterfeit signs and power and miracles. Do not judge what is true from miracles signs and wonder from counterfeit power
⁃ God’s design is to have a personal relationship with His children and not have to go through a particular powerful man or woman of God . He is OUR father, no child is more important than the other
⁃ 2 pet 2:1-3 msg when social media first came out we thought the social and core needs of humanity will be met, but because social media is not based on truth( no one puts their ugly pictures on social media, they pick out the nice up one sometimes) it failed woefully
⁃ 2 Tim 3:16-17 NLT all scripture is inspired by God. Any truth we take must align with the word, not cultures, traditions, not politics ,religion nor profession
⁃ The Bible is the final arbiter in all matters of life and conduct
⁃ Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing
PRAYER:
Lord help me live in accordance with your word and truth. Let my life be a picture of you true word.
